Tuesday 24th December Christmas Eve

The day before Eat Chicken and Rice Day, you know you can sneak home early because the Boss plans to do the same. You could use your time productively and get the 10% discount at Proud to be African Clothing. And go to Midnight Mass, you know your mother will phone to check

Wednesday 25th December Christmas Day

Añuli Ekeresimesi (Igbo)
Barka de kristimeti (Hausa)
Eku odun Keresi (Yoruba)

Dress in your Christmas clothes, go and dance Azonto in church while you plan which part of the chicken you will chop first.
In the evening you will start Googling gym membership. Stop deceiving yourself and have more rice. The discount code for Proud to be African Clothing still works and you know as well as I that you forgot to buy someone something. Do something productive before you doze off in front of the Sound of Music with a stomach bigger than a pregnant goats.
