Its two weeks until the movie adaptation of Half of a Yellow Sun comes out on
general release in the UK. This Nollywood to Hollywood epic starring Oscar nominee/ BAFTA winner Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, John Bodega, Genevieve Nnaji, Onyeka Owenu, Anika Noni Rose, was filmed in location in Nigeria, with a UK/ Nigerian crew. Telling the story of a family and group of friends riven by the Nigerian civil war it is a quintessential African story, by an African writer, made into film in Africa with African actors! It goes on general release on 11th April, please identify your local cinema and support
this movie.
We cannot complain that our story is not told if when it is we are
not there in mass to show the power of our numbers and funds.
